"ISNHS Intramurals 2025"

Intramural sports, also known as interhall sports, hall sports, or inter-collegiate sport or college sport, are recreational sports organized within a particular institution, usually an educational institution, for the purpose of fun and exercise. School intramurals are sports and physical activities organized within a school's student body for recreational purposes, focusing on participation and inclusivity rather than intense competition. The word "intramural" itself means "within the walls," emphasizing that these events are limited to students of that specific institution.

This month, the ISNHS just celebrated the School Intramurals. It started with a parade of all of the grade levels. After the parade, Mr. and Ms. Intramurals began. The crowds were full of cheers and yell. It was really enjoyful and fun. After the opening program, the next 3 days is the real game. There are different sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, swimming, arnis, boxing, football, soccer, lawn tennis, table tennis, archery, chess, online games, and many more. Some of the sports are located in the different schools. Overall, I enjoyed watching some of the games. I can see every athletes effort and strength to win the game. In a game some win, and some lose. If you win, then it's good and continue doing good. If you lose, it's absolutely fine, we can start again and refrain from our mistakes. As a player, you need to be humble, win or lose.

Intramurals are important because they promote physical fitness, mental health, and social development by offering a fun, inclusive environment for students to engage in physical activity, build teamwork, develop leadership skills, and foster a sense of community and school spirit. Participation in intramurals helps students with stress reduction, improved academic performance, and the cultivation of healthy habits that extend beyond the playing field. The core values of intramurals include developing physical skills, promoting mental and emotional well-being through fun and reduced stress, fostering teamwork and leadership skills, and instilling values of sportsmanship, fair play, and discipline. They also build a strong sense of community, camaraderie, and belonging within a school.
